Heather Murphy has a BA in English from Milligan College and an MA in English Literature from the University of Cincinnati, specializing in Edmund Spenser and the poetry and drama of the English Renaissance. She has been teaching since 1995, and has been with the School for Creative and Performing Arts since 2003. Her teaching experiences reach from fourth grade to college freshmen, but her favorite students to teach are junior high school students. She is a fan of the SCPA Dance Ensemble, and her favorite annual SCPA event is Drama Night. Unless it's the major musical, or the Corbett-Mayerson competition. Ms. Murphy sings second soprano with MUSE: Cincinnati's Women's Choir, and performs widely around Cincinnati with that group. She loves to travel, and one of her life goals is to visit every continent. She's an avid and voracious reader in a wide variety of genres, and her favorite place is the public library.
